This colorful interpretation features a dance of death and promise of new life.  The female chum salmon, having laid her eggs in a shallow gravel bed of Mclane Creek, eyes the male salmon fertilizing them.  They are spent; exhausted.  Having finished their purpose, they will soon expire.
